Wandsworth Care Alliance (WCA) was established in 1991, originally as Wandsworth Community Care Alliance. From the outset, WCA acted as a collective voice for community organisations and groups across Wandsworth, bringing the community and voluntary sector together and facilitating conversations with the local authority and health service professionals.
Our purpose has always been to strengthen the voice and influence of the community and voluntary sector, particularly in relation to health and social care, and to ensure that the experiences and perspectives of local communities are represented in decision-making.
Over the years, WCA has evolved and expanded in response to the changing needs of the sector and the communities we serve. While our work has developed significantly since 1991, we remain rooted in the same principle: bringing organisations together, strengthening partnerships and ensuring the community and voluntary sector has a strong and meaningful voice.

We became registered as a charity in 2005 and starting work on Healthwatch Wandsworth and supporting community projects over 10 years ago.
We support many people and organisations now. From the arts, to sustainability, to sharing information, promoting inclusion in health services, and so much more.
We look to find what support is available and help you find the next step you need.
Because even today, where the internet seems to connect everything, people don’t always know they have choices.
Our values
We believe that effective change comes when an individual or community is able to recognise, value and build upon their own capabilities.
This isn’t always straight forward or easy, but we work to try and ignite, inspire, and support this positive change and improve the community’s well being.
At the core of our work we know that, with the right support , encouragement and resources people will make a positive change.
