Dear Friends,
From 1st July 2026, Wandsworth Care Alliance has paused aspects of our voluntary and community sector infrastructure support while we focus on securing our future and adapting to a changing funding landscape.
Our VCSE Infrastructure Support contract, funded by Wandsworth Council and the NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB), came to an end on 30th June 2026. We continue to engage positively in discussions around the future of infrastructure support for the borough, but at this stage our funding arrangements remain unconfirmed.
As a result, we are no longer able to guarantee that the free infrastructure support previously available to VCSE organisations can continue. This includes services such as funding advice, organisational development support and other capacity-building activities that were funded through the contract. WCA continues to deliver our other services, including our Healthwatch Wandsworth work and other commissioned activities, and we remain committed to supporting communities across the borough.
For many years, it has been our privilege to support hundreds of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Wandsworth, helping them secure funding, strengthen governance, build partnerships, and improve outcomes for local residents. Over the past year alone, we have worked alongside more than 200 organisations, helping to strengthen the borough’s voluntary sector and empower communities to thrive. Our commitment to the sector remains as strong as ever, but we must also ensure WCA itself is sustainable for the future.
Over the coming weeks, we will be focusing on our own organisational transformation while continuing to contribute to discussions about the future of community infrastructure support in Wandsworth. During this time, we may not be able to provide the same level of support as before, both to our voluntary sector and statutory colleagues and partners. Some services that have previously been offered for free may not be available during this period. If your organisation would like to discuss receiving infrastructure support on a fee-for-service basis, we would be pleased to have that conversation.
Thank you to every organisation, partner, volunteer, and resident who has worked alongside us. Your trust and collaboration have enabled us to make a meaningful difference across Wandsworth, and we remain hopeful that, together, we can continue building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
The Wandsworth Care Alliance Team.
