Welcome to the Wandsworth LGBTQ+ Delivery Network.
The Wandsworth LGBTQ+ Delivery Network is a space for local LGBTQ+ groups to come together to support each other and to explore the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Wandsworth and to seek ways we can collaborate to meet these needs. We currently meet quarterly with a hybrid option both in person and online.
Recent collaborative projects have included: a joint stall at a Battersea Park summer event, development of LGBTQ+ ally badges, training to Wandsworth commissioners to improve inclusive practices and we are currently exploring 2024 Pride activities.
If you are a Wandsworth LGBTQ+ group or service and would like to join the network, please contact the network chair – Lucie Brooke: lucie@free2b.lgbt

Volunteering Opportunities
LGBTQ+ 50+ Coffee Morning:
Are you interested in assisting a friendly, accessible coffee morning for older members of the LGBTQ+ community in Wandsworth?
We are looking for LGBTQ+ friendly volunteers who would be free from 11-12.30 on the first Tuesday of each month, or able to attend at least 3 a year. This is a great volunteering opportunity for someone who is welcoming, enjoys a cuppa and is keen to help provide an accessible, inclusive space for Wandsworth’s older LGBTQ+ community.
References and DBS are required. An induction will be provided by Age UK Wandsworth.
Find our volunteering application form here. Please note when applying for the LGBTQ+ post, select ‘community engagement’ as your first preference: https://www.ageuk.org.uk/wandsworth/get-involved/volunteer/
For more information email us at: outreach@ageuk.org.uk or give us a ring at: 020 8187 1717
Free2B are recruiting volunteer youth workers to help us deliver our weekly senior youth club – the Gap. The Gap youth club runs every Friday in the Clapham Junction area 6-8pm for LGBTQ+ young people aged 13-19 (our address is not advertised to safeguard our members). We appreciate that giving up every Friday evening may not be appealing! So, we are seeking volunteers who can commit to one rota’d Friday per month at Gap.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of group work with young people.
- A grounded and thought through understanding of LGBTQ+ issues.
- The skills to handle sensitive issues including those relating to sexuality & gender and personal relationships, in an appropriate, professional and confidential manner.
- Please note, in order to volunteer at our youth groups, volunteers must be at least 21 years old as we have found there are boundary issues where youth members and volunteers are of a similar or same age.
